Washington has finalized a key leadership shift in U.S. market regulation. The U.S. Senate has confirmed Michael Selig as the 15th Chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), ending nearly a year of interim leadership at the agency.

Selig’s confirmation comes at a critical time as Congress debates expanding the CFTC’s authority over crypto markets, potentially giving it primary oversight of spot crypto commodities.

👤 A Familiar Face at the CFTC

Selig began his career at the CFTC in 2014 and later advised trading firms, exchanges, and digital asset companies in private practice. Earlier this year, he returned to government as chief counsel to the SEC’s Crypto Task Force, placing him at the heart of U.S. crypto policy discussions.

He takes over from Caroline Pham, who served as acting chair through most of 2025.

During his confirmation hearing, Selig signaled support for a lighter regulatory touch, warning that excessive enforcement over minor technical issues can drive innovation offshore.
However, he stressed the CFTC must remain a “cop on the beat”, targeting fraud, manipulation, and real market harm.

Zooming into the 4H chart, BTC is forming a clear ascending triangle between $80K and $95K. This kind of structure often resolves upward, but only if volume and momentum support the breakout. Right now, the breakout attempts near $94K keep getting rejected.

There is a tightening squeeze between the trendline support and horizontal resistance, and the price is nearing the apex. So a breakout or breakdown is likely within the next few sessions.

行情的诱多，上窜下跳的价格，有没有吸引你入场，以太毫无章法的向下插针到2880附近，在迅速反抽3030附近，现在又回落到了更低的低点，这种行情只有赌徒能够赚钱，还必须得跑得快，这种刀口舔血的事情我们是一向不碰的

自从以太跌下3200，我们就看到3000关口，插针是到2950附近，目前这一支撑再度跌破，底部也在逐步降低，目前在2800关口还有一个支撑，跌破以太还有下到2500的趋势，这也是我们啥都不买的原因，目前都是反弹回调的行情

大饼走势也不容乐观，也跌破了89000这一支撑来到了上一轮的低点86000附近，这一位置也是最后的防线，下方支撑在80000关口附近，这是不想看到的走势
