I've been hearing a lot of chatter in the market lately, and the gist is:
"Bitcoin only pumped because stocks are strong, and as soon as the stocks dip... Bitcoin's gonna tank, so brace yourselves!"
This talk isn't totally off, because there's a clear link between the two. But honestly? This scenario seems unlikely to play out right now. ๐
Why aren't stocks going to crash? ๐
If we look back in history, every "dip" we've seen in the market was followed by a significant historical spike. If the market was really going to crash, it had golden opportunities recently that it didn't capitalize on, despite all the scary circumstances:
Stocks have reached peaks and are starting to show signs of weakness.
Inflation rates are starting to rise again.
Political tensions (like the skirmishes between the US and Iran).
General economic pressures.
And despite all this.. what happened? The dip was temporary and quick as usual, and the market has proven it's resilient and wants to continue rising, with the biggest reason likely being the AI revolution that's giving the market insane power. In short, the strong correction we've been waiting for every few years... we just got out of it!
Personal prediction: I wouldn't be surprised at all to see the stock index (like the S&P) soar to 10,000 points nonstop in the next two years. For that reason, Bitcoin is safe on that front.
Current Bitcoin situation โก๏ธ
If we notice right now, Bitcoin isn't exactly following the stock movements (SPX) to the letter. And since cryptocurrencies are at the top of the investment risk hierarchy, I strongly expect them to catch up with stocks soonโฆ and maybe even surpass them by a wide margin.
