Binance listed US stocks, did you really make the right choice?
Binance now lets you trade US stocks — but most people have no idea which product they're actually using.
There are 3 completely different products on Binance, all marketed as "US stocks":
1️⃣ Pre-IPO Perpetual Contracts ($SPCX, $OPENAI, $ANTHROPIC) Your funds stay on Binance. You're trading a synthetic contract — no equity, no ownership. Price tracks company valuation, but if the company issues new shares, the contract price drops. That's not your asset losing value — the reference price just changed.
⚠️ Highest risk. No real asset backing.
2️⃣ Ondo Tokenized Stocks ($NFLXon, $JPMon, etc.) Ondo Finance buys real US stocks with your funds and issues on-chain tokens as proof of ownership. There IS real asset backing — but you hold a token, not a stock. If Ondo fails, your token goes to zero.
⚠️ Dependent on a third-party institution.
3️⃣ Binance Stocks / bStocks (in-app Stocks section) This is the closest thing to real US stock ownership. Orders are routed through Nest Trading → Alpaca Securities (SEC/FINRA licensed broker) → executed on NYSE/Nasdaq. You are the beneficial owner and eligible for dividends. The bStocks on-chain version also lets you trade 24/7 and self-custody.
Most regulated. Most transparent.
Risk Summary:
Pre-IPO Contracts → Synthetic, no backing. Highest risk.
Ondo RWA → Real assets, but relies on middlemen.
Binance Stocks → Closest to real US stocks, assets held at Alpaca.
Same platform. Three products. Completely different risk
structures.
Before you buy — make sure you know which door you walked through.
