A lot of Argentinians are heading to Spain, but…
Are salaries in Spain really better than in Argentina?
According to official data, 60% of the Spanish population earns less than 19,700 euros gross annually.
If we break it down monthly and net: 19,700 € / 14 payments = 1,407 € gross per payment
Less ~19% deductions (SS + IRPF) ≈ 1,139 € net monthly + two extra payments.
60% of the population earns less than $1200 Euros net per month 🫣
At the current exchange rate (1 € = $1.618), that’s less than $1,843,000 Argentine pesos per month.
Meanwhile, in Argentina:
70% of those earning income make less than the RIPTE ($1,734,357 monthly).
Only 30% exceed that formal average.
With the dollar stagnating at this rate…
Isn’t the tide turning?
More and more Spaniards could come to work in Argentina and send remittances back home to help their families.
Million-dollar question:
Is it still worth it to go work in Spain… or are you losing cash today?
