We had a clear buildup. Asia set the floor, London expanded out of it to hunt the high liquidity right at $69.58, and then the real distribution began.
Look at that highlighted shaded block on the charts. Instead of holding the London Low, price broke down structurally, forming a lower high right under $68.92. The dotted trendline tracking down on the chart shows continuous lower highs as inventory was passed from smart money back to late retail buyers.
The NY Flush:
The New York morning session opened, trapped a tiny bit of longs at the minor bounce to NYAM.H around $68.30, and then absolutely pulled the plug. Total displacement straight down to the $64.00 handle.
