📉 Bitcoin ETF outflows since early May... and the "Sell in May" strategy is in full effect
Since early May, we've been seeing ongoing outflows from Bitcoin ETFs—this often translates to:
Price pressure/difficulty breaking resistance levels
Increased volatility with any negative news
Liquidity shifting towards "waiting" instead of taking risks
But important:
Outflows alone don’t mean a "confirmed bear market"—sometimes it's just repositioning or profit-taking after a rally, and the key factors are price + liquidity + volume.
How do we monitor this correctly?
Are the flows turning into inflows with BTC holding above support levels?
Are we seeing increased open interest as price drops? (might indicate pressure/liquidation)
Is there a clear break of key support levels or just "liquidity shakes"?
Question for the community:
Do you consider ETF outflows a sign of "institutional exit"... or just profit-taking before a new wave?
