The market will always move either in corrections or impulses.
People complicate this by coming up with a bunch of names, whether it's (ABC, AMD, market maker theory, whatever), but the behavior remains the same:
Consolidation — fake-out — continuation. This is the engine of every trend.
Most of the market is just ranging, not trending — and these ranges almost always form the same pattern:
- Accumulation
- Sweep
- Impulse
- Range
- Repeat
Once you start reading the structure this way, you'll stop trading noise and start trading intention.
The secret is this:
• The strength of each impulse + the strength of each AMD will clearly show you where the trend is likely to end.
Recognize this, and your trading will instantly improve.
