To launch mass production, production capacity was prepared and equipment was updated. At the facility, about 100 modern machines and installations were purchased and put into operation, and the necessary tools for inspecting and processing parts were prepared.
The PD-8 engine was developed in 6 years, which is noticeably faster than the usual global timelines for such projects. During the development, 17 new technologies were introduced. In June 2026, the engine received a type certificate, confirming compliance with airworthiness requirements. Now the main task is to reach steady serial output. #Russia
