We Still Believe in Binance: A Call for Fair Access in Nigeria
Itโs quite disheartening to see that many Binance features are now unavailable to users in some countries, especially across Africa, including Nigeria. These restrictions were introduced shortly after a former Binance employee was arrested by the Nigerian government in Abuja.
However, itโs important for Binance to understand that this action was taken by the government, not by us, the youth and loyal supporters who have stood by Binance from the very beginning. We have always appreciated the opportunities Binance created for financial inclusion, innovation, and empowerment, even when our leaders seemed resistant to progress in the crypto space.
I sincerely appeal to the Binance leadership to reconsider and restore some of these features for users in Nigeria. Many of us have been active promoters of the platform since 2022, contributing to its visibility and growth. I personally earned the Binance Creator Badge through my posts and engagement between 2022 and 2023.
On behalf of Nigerian creators and users, I apologize for any inconvenience or misunderstanding caused by our governmentโs actions. Please donโt let these developments affect those of us who have remained true supporters. We genuinely hope that CZ and the Binance team will restore access and continue to empower young Africans through crypto innov
ation.
