🔺 Powell announced that the outlook for employment and inflation was unchanged from the previous meeting. He said that the purchase of short-term bonds is being carried out to maintain effective control over policy rates. 🔺 Powell emphasized that inflation is still a little high and the housing sector remains weak. The forecast for GDP growth for 2026 has also been revised higher. 🔺 According to him, there has not been much data on inflation since the October meeting and the reason for the rise in inflation is the increase in commodity prices due to the tariffs of the Trump administration. 🔹 During Powell's speech, the S&P 500 index continued to grow and rose 0.4%. 🔺 Powell warned that inflation risks are tilted to the upside in the near term and that there is no risk-free policy path. He also said that rates are now in a range that can be consistent with an acceptable "neutral" level. 🔺Powell said monetary policy has no set path and decisions are made on a case-by-case basis. 🔺He said recent rate cuts should help stabilize the labor market. 🔺He also said Treasury purchases could remain at high levels for the next few months. 🔺Powell said the Fed is in a position to wait and see how the economy moves forward. 🔺He said the base case for next year is “robust and reliable” growth. 🔺Powell added that spending on artificial intelligence is continuing and stressed that they will receive a lot of data before the January meeting. #crypto #Fed #markets
