According to ChainCatcher, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) will hold a roundtable discussion on cryptocurrency, financial monitoring, and privacy on December 15. Zcash founder Zooko Wilcox and others will participate.

Analysis suggests that the SEC may evaluate the regulatory weight of cryptocurrency privacy projects during the meeting. If zero-knowledge proofs are deemed compliant, they may be included in the digital asset regulations; if the meeting is divided, privacy advocates may face court lawsuits.
