🆘 WHAT TO DO IN THE EVENT OF A NUCLEAR BOMB ATTACK? ☢️

A nuclear explosion can cause a shockwave, extreme heat, radiation, and radioactive rain. However, you can protect your life and that of your family if you know how to act. Here we explain:

💥 DURING THE NUCLEAR EXPLOSION

✅ Seek shelter immediately.

Run to the nearest building, preferably made of brick or concrete. If possible, go down to the basement or the center of the building, away from roofs and exterior walls.

✅ Avoid windows and get out of the vehicle.

If you are in a car, stop safely and take cover inside. Then, seek solid shelter as soon as possible.

☢️ PROTECT YOURSELF FROM RADIOACTIVE RAIN

Radioactive rain is more dangerous in the first hours after the detonation.

You will have between 10 and 15 minutes to take shelter before it falls.

❗ Remove exposed clothing if you were outside.

❗ Wash your skin and hair with water and soap.

❗ Clean your pets if they were also exposed.

🧼 STAY INSIDE (minimum 24 HOURS)

🔒 Do not go out until authorities say it is safe.

💡 Stay in places away from roofs and windows.

📻 Use a battery or hand-crank radio to receive official information.

📦 PREPARE BEFORE

• Identify nearby shelters at home, work, or school.

• Have an emergency kit with:

• Water and food for 3 days

• Essential medications

• Flashlight and batteries

• Battery or hand-crank radio

🚫 DANGERS OF A NUCLEAR EXPLOSION

• 💡 Bright Flash: may cause temporary blindness

• 🌪️ Shockwave: severe injuries and destruction of structures

• 🔥 Heat: causes fires and burns

• ☢️ Radiation: can damage body cells

• ⚡ Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP): damages electronic devices

• 🌫️ Radioactive rain: contaminated particles that fall afterward
