⚠️ 5 mistakes I made when starting on Binance (and how to avoid them)
If you're new to Binance, I want to share real mistakes I made so that you don't experience the same.
1. ❌ Buying without understanding what it was
The first time I bought $BTC, I did it impulsively. I didn't know what a "token" was, what "volatility" meant, or that prices could drop by 10% in a day.
✅ Lesson: always research before investing. Binance has articles and free courses in the Academy section.
2. ❌ Not enabling two-factor authentication (2FA)
For months, I didn't enable two-factor authentication (2FA). If someone stole my password, I could lose everything.
✅ Lesson: enable Google Authenticator from the security menu. It takes 2 minutes and protects your funds.
3. ❌ Leaving USDT unused
I had USDT in the spot account doing nothing, and I didn't know I could put it to earn interest.
✅ Lesson: Use Simple Earn to earn between 3% and 10% annually. Look for the “Earn” button in the Binance app or website.
4. ❌ Not understanding the fees
I started trading and didn't understand why I was "losing" money on each trade. It was the fees, which, although low, can add up if you make many unplanned trades.
✅ Lesson: always check the fees. If you use BNB to pay fees, you get a 25% discount.
5. ❌ Not taking advantage of rewards
At first, I wasn't aware of the promos, airdrops, or challenges that Binance offers all the time. Literally: they were giving away tokens for signing up or completing simple tasks.
✅ Lesson: check the “Rewards” button and the “Missions” section in the app every day. There are real daily gifts.
🟢 Conclusion
We all make mistakes when starting. But each mistake was an opportunity to learn. Now that you know what to avoid, you can start on Binance with more confidence… and fewer losses.
