When I opened my first position in futures on Binance, I thought: “This is easy, I'm going to get rich in a month”. Spoiler: I got liquidated in less than 2 hours. 😅

That experience left me with 3 lessons that I want to share with you, because they will surely help if you are just starting.

1. Don't befriend high leverage

I entered in $BTC with x50 because I wanted to “win quickly”. Result: a drop of -1.5% and goodbye to my account!

👉 Nowadays, I don't go above x5, and believe me, I sleep much more peacefully.

2. Always define your exit before entering

In that trade, I didn't put a stop-loss because I thought: “Surely it will go up again.”

Classic mistake.

👉 Now I set my stop and take profit from the start, even if only mentally.

3. Do not trade with emotions

After losing, I tried to recover by entering in $ETH without a plan, just out of courage. Obviously… I lost again.

👉 Now, if things go wrong, I close the computer, make myself a coffee ☕, and come back the next day.

But in the end, you are the one who chooses how to do your work and how to earn a living. But remember that a good plan will help you not to lose valuable things.

Futures trading can be a money-making machine or an account-crushing machine.

The difference is not in predicting the market, but in having discipline and patience.

And you, have you ever liquidated yourself in $BNB, $BTC or $ETH?
