Stage 1 — INITIAL FILTER

In the previous series, I shared the process I use to analyze projects, structured in 12 stages, to evaluate the cryptocurrency market with more criteria and less impulsiveness.

Now let's apply the same process to the coins in my current wallet.

And the first stage is always the same:

INITIAL FILTER

This stage does not determine if a project is good or bad.

It answers something simpler and very important:

Is it worth continuing to analyze this project in depth?

In my initial filter, I primarily observe:

• clarity of the project's proposal

• presence in major exchanges

• minimum liquidity

• market relevance

• visible activity of the ecosystem

• capacity to move to the next steps

INITIAL FILTER of the coins in the series that make up my current portfolio:

1️⃣ Pass comfortably in the initial filter

$XRP : passes comfortably

The project's proposal is VERY clear, infrastructure for international settlement and payments.

It has one of the LARGEST liquidities in the market, global presence on exchanges, and remains among the largest assets by capitalization.

Moreover, it has a long history in the market, which significantly reduces the risk of experimental projects or fleeting narratives.

$XLM : passes comfortably

The project has an objective proposal aimed at payments and financial infrastructure, focusing on fast transfers and low cost.

It has a consistent presence in major exchanges and maintains relevance in the market even after many cycles of the sector, which demonstrates the resilience of the ecosystem.

Chainlink has become practically the standard infrastructure for oracles in the crypto market.

The proposal is extremely clear, connecting smart contracts to real-world data.

The project has a large adoption in the DeFi ecosystem and maintains strong liquidity and structural relevance in the market.

BNB: passes comfortably

BNB is one of the most established assets in the market.

It has massive liquidity, strong global presence, and is directly connected to one of the largest crypto ecosystems in the world.

The utility within Binance's own infrastructure and the BNB Chain ensures constant relevance in the market.

TRX: passes comfortably

TRON has a very active ecosystem, especially in stablecoins and financial applications within the network itself.

The project maintains high liquidity and global presence on exchanges, in addition to remaining among the main assets by capitalization over several market cycles.

ADA: passes comfortably

Cardano is one of the most well-known projects in the crypto market.

It has a large base of investors, strong liquidity, and a consistent presence among the largest assets in the market.

Even with debates about the speed of ecosystem evolution, the project maintains structural relevance.

2️⃣ Pass in the initial filter, but require more careful analysis in the next steps

ONDO: passes

ONDO is part of one of the strongest narratives at the moment, which is the tokenization of real-world assets (RWA).

The project has relevant liquidity and growing visibility in the market.

However, it will be important to analyze in the next steps whether the token really captures value within the project's economic model.

TAO: passes

Bittensor (TAO) gained significant relevance with the narrative of decentralized infrastructure for artificial intelligence.

The project has significant market growth and already appears among the largest assets by capitalization.

However, projects linked to new narratives require careful analysis of sustainability and value capture.

PENDLE: passes

Pendle has a well-defined proposal within DeFi, focused on trading future yield.

The project has sufficient liquidity and presence in major exchanges, allowing for further analysis.

However, its model is more technical and will depend on a more detailed assessment in the next steps.

ASTER: passes

Aster presents a proposal within the DeFi ecosystem and already has market cap and volume that justify analysis.

However, it still requires deeper evaluation to understand the actual traction of the project, its competitive differentiation, and the consistency of the ecosystem.

BTTC / BTT: passes with reservations

The BitTorrent ecosystem has a long-standing history in the crypto market and significant presence within the TRON network.

There is sufficient liquidity and recognition of the project to continue with the analysis.

Still, it will be important to evaluate whether the token has real value capture within the ecosystem.

3️⃣ Pass in the filter, but with greater need for structural validation

PUMP: passes with MORE reservations

Pump is a project that has gained visibility recently and has enough volume not to be discarded in the initial filter.

However, within the analyzed portfolio, it is the asset that requires the most CAUTION in the next steps, especially regarding the sustainability of the model and the long-term value proposition.

Practical reading of the CURRENT SCENARIO, of the initial filter

At this stage, none of the 12 coins were eliminated.

But the filter already shows something important:

• some enter the next steps with a very solid base

• others enter with more need for proof

• and some will clearly require a more critical look throughout the series

That is exactly why the method exists.

This initial filter is just the first step to answer a bigger question:

which of these coins really support a more grounded investment decision?

IMPORTANT:

MY SHARED ANALYSES are not and will NEVER be purchase or sale recommendations.

Next step of the series

In the next post, we will move to Step 2 Tokenomics and economic model.

It is at this stage that we begin to separate with more clarity:

• well-structured projects

• projects with relevant weaknesses

• and tokens that depend more on narrative than on fundamentals
