Yesterday Binance opened Alpha airdrop again, 240 points, receive 470 IN or 5000 BLUAI, first come first served. But I just skimmed through and closed the app.
Because I have been off Alpha for more than a week now. And really, I feel light all over.
---
3 simple reasons:
1. The rewards are no longer appealing
I remember when it first came out, each round earned quite a bit. Now what? Grinding non-stop, lucky to get around $30-$50 once. And to get 240 points, you have to trade regularly, the fees are hard to count.
2. "Who is quicker" โ really exhausting
You have to watch the time, wait for the opening, compete with a bunch of people. And with limited funds, once it's gone, it's gone. The feeling of anxious waiting and often ending up empty-handed โ extremely exhausting.
3. Hidden fees eat up all the profits
To maintain points, you have to trade. Trading incurs fees. After calculating, there were times I lost more from fees than the money received. Benefiting the platform, while I am losing both time and money.

After giving up for a week, I realized:
ยท No longer under the pressure of timing, no longer worried about "missing out."
ยท No need to trade indiscriminately just to maintain points.
ยท Free time to relax or seek real investment opportunities.
Alpha used to be a "gold mine," but now it makes me more tired than happy. Some people still try to keep up, but I feel relieved since I stopped.
