During the recently concluded KBW event, discussions about Rumour.app exceeded expectations. One of the most talked-about rumors is that it might use a community voting mechanism to weigh the credibility of different sources, which reminds me of how to turn "rumors" into real Alpha opportunities.
Many of the potential stock stories I have heard often start with early signals that have not been widely validated. For example, a technological advancement or partnership within an ecosystem may initially just be sporadic discussions within the community, but if captured and cross-validated early, it can create a first-mover advantage. The potential of Rumour.app lies in its ability to help users track the evolution of rumors through structured data flows—from origin, dissemination, to eventual confirmation or disconfirmation.
Personally, I plan to use Rumour.app this way: first, set up tags to follow (such as Layer2, AI+Web3), filtering rumors posted by high-weight users; second, combine the credibility scoring system within the platform to compare multiple viewpoints and avoid falling into an information echo chamber; finally, integrate fragmented information into trend judgments to assist decision-making. The true value lies not in chasing hot topics, but in extracting signals from noise and positioning in advance.
