💡 Why is it called "Bear"?
Imagine the bear when it attacks, it strikes with its claws from top to bottom ⬇️
So it's a symbol of the downward trend.
And the opposite 👇
🐂 Bull Market (the rising market):
> Prices are continuously rising, and people are optimistic and buying a lot.
And the bull attacks from bottom to top ⬆️ — a symbol of rising.
🕓 Duration of the bear market:
It can last from several months to over a year.
It usually starts after a long period of rising (Bull Run).
These are the most important early signs that indicate the market (especially cryptocurrencies) might be entering a bear market — meaning a strong decline before it actually happens:
⚠️ 1. Bitcoin starts to weaken before other coins
Bitcoin is always the leader.
If it starts to decline slowly or fails to make new highs while other coins are still rising → that's the first warning.
📉 Because usually after that, other coins (Altcoins) collapse faster.
🧊 2. Decrease in trading volume and liquidity
When you see that people are not buying much anymore, and the amounts coming into the market are decreasing —
This means that the big money has exited.
And this often happens weeks before the collapse.
🧠 3. Technical indicators shift from rise to fall
The most important signals you can monitor:
Death Cross: (the 50-day moving average drops below the 200-day).
RSI (Relative Strength Index) remains below 50 for a long time.
Weekly candles remain more red than green.
💬 4. Social media suddenly calms down
You find the talk about crypto has decreased, and the memes and 'To the moon 🚀' have disappeared 😅
The excitement decreases and 'doubt' starts to enter people.
> And this often happens before the start of the bear market
🏦 5. Negative economic news or decisions from the Fed
Like raising interest rates or strengthening the dollar.
Cryptocurrencies are greatly affected by this because investors flee to safety (gold, bonds, the dollar).
💣 6. Collapse of a major project or platform
When a huge project (like FTX or Luna back then) collapses suddenly —
It breaks trust and drags the whole market down with it.
🔮 Quick summary:
> If you see 3 or 4 of these signs happening at the same time —
And often the market is entering a bear market over weeks or months.
