Worldcoin, or more precisely the World App, was removed from the Google Play store a few days ago. The creators of this app have gone completely silent and do not want to officially say what caused the removal of Worldcoin.
The most likely reason was the mini-apps inside World App that were scamming users and trying to steal their funds. At the moment, 99% of these mini-apps are simple fraud.
The Worldcoin team does not verify them and does not conduct proper audits. Massive user reports related to these scam apps contributed to its removal from Google Play.
The Worldcoin app is still available in the Apple Store and whether it will face a similar fate is unknown for now, but I suggest monitoring its status. The creators will not tell you anything. A huge disappointment in the behaviour of the Worldcoin team.
