Tether's CEO, Paolo Ardoino, believes
that stablecoins like USDT are only a
short-term solution. He predicts that
within the next 50 years, the world may
no longer need $USDT because $BTC
could become the main global currency.
Ardoino explained that Usdt #was
created to make the U.S. dollar more
practical to use, especially in countries
facing severe inflation, where the
stablecoin has become a "lifeline" for
many people.
However, he thinks that in the long run,
the global financial system will shift
toward #Bitcoin as the most efficient
form of money and Tether is preparing
for a future where BTC is the dominant
currency.
In his view, stablecoins are important for
now, but the ultimate goal is a monetary
world centered around Bitcoin.
