🚨 The Yearn Finance protocol was hacked, resulting in a loss of $3M
The yETH product of Yearn Finance was attacked, with the hacker minting unlimited yETH to drain the liquidity of the pool in a single transaction.
After collecting ~1,000 $ETH (~$3M), the hacker sent everything to the Tornado Cash mixing protocol. The exact scale of the damage has not yet been determined, although prior to the incident, the yETH pool was valued at ~$11M.
Yearn has stated that it is investigating the incident. The project also reassured users that the Vaults (V2 and V3) were not affected.
