Vanguard opens up to clients trading ETFs $BTC , $ETH , $XRP and SOL starting today
After many years of fierce opposition due to excessive volatility and speculation, Vanguard has allowed crypto ETFs to be traded on their platform.
According to Bloomberg, strong demand from both individual and institutional investors is the driving factor for Vanguard's turnaround. However, the company does not yet have plans to launch its own crypto products, and funds related to memecoins will still be excluded from the support list.
Vanguard is currently the second-largest asset manager in the world, serving over 50 million clients with total assets exceeding 11 trillion USD. The change in stance from this giant is expected to potentially trigger a wave of new investors pouring money into crypto.
