It is the #BinanceBlockchainWeek in Dubai and the winners of the Blockchain 100 awards have received their trophies yersterday. But first, there are some facts about this event that I find interesting to share:
A
"The Blockchain 100 is an award that recognizes 100 exceptional content creators from around the world who educate, inform, or inspire the public about cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, DeFi, NFTs, Web3, and related topics."According to the official definition on the event page.Note that it’s global and there are many nominees who have no affiliation with Binance. It is the community that decided.
B
1- According to statistics, there are about 562 million crypto enthusiasts in the world.
2-Binance has over 295 million active usersSo 1 crypto enthusiast out of 2 has a Binance account and more than 50% of crypto enthusiasts in the world are Binance users.
C
Nominations and voting were open to Binance users.
D
Therefore, being one of the winners of the Blockchain 100 awards in the Rising Star category can be interpreted as follows:
Half of the crypto enthusiasts in the world agree that I am one of the most promising content creators in the crypto space, among those who educate, inform, or inspire the public about crypto technologies.😆🫣
In all humility, this is just to show you the importance of the Blockchain 100 awards and why I am happy to be among the winners 🙏🏽
One fact to note is that I am the only African (black skin) that I could identify among all 100 winners.
There are some profiles under pseudonyms that could not attend; it’s not certain that there is an African, but I will need to confirm that first.
