November has just passed, and the cryptocurrency market has exploded again——

On December 1, BTC once fell below $84,000, with 270,000 people liquidated within 24 hours, and the entire network lost nearly $1 billion.

A friend holding $100,000 in capital asked me whether to choose spot or futures. The experiences of two veterans in the circle are more useful than grand theories.

"Hodl" Old Wang entered the market five years ago with $50,000, only trading BTC and ETH.

During the bear market in 2022 when ETH fell to $800, he supplemented $2,000 every month from his salary, and last year he sold 30% in batches when it rose to $2,800, and this year he added to his position at the support level of $3,050.

Now his account is steadily at $2 million, and he often says: "Don't be greedy when it rises, don't panic when it falls, that way the money can be kept."

In contrast, Little Zhou, who trades futures, last year relied on 10x leverage, turning $3,000 into $200,000 in a week, posting profits daily in his friend circle.

But in the black swan market on December 1, his heavily invested BTC long position was instantly penetrated, not only did he lose his capital but he also owed the platform $80,000.

It's important to know that 90% of futures traders do not survive beyond three months.

I've seen too many beginners fall, and the answer is quite simple: If losing $100,000 affects your life, choose spot trading with your eyes closed, buy mainstream coins on dips, and make money through cycles;

If you want to try futures, at most take $10,000 for a test, leverage should not exceed 10 times, and set a stop-loss line firmly and never hold on to losing positions.

Experts always use spot trading as a foundation, and futures are just a "small tool" for capturing fluctuations.

The deepest pit in the cryptocurrency market is not the market itself, but overestimating one's own capacity for risk.

With $100,000 in capital, stability is key to winning; do not let greed ruin everything.
