⛏️ Brazil Eliminates Import Tax for Bitcoin Mining Equipment!
🚨 GECEX has announced a big news for the cryptocurrency sector in the country!
The Executive Committee of the Foreign Trade Chamber (GECEX) has established a zero tax (tariff exemption) for the importation of Bitcoin mining hardware and associated infrastructure, through new resolutions published in the Official Gazette of the Union.
What enters Brazil with Zero Tax?
* Mining Servers (ASICs):
* Equipment that uses the SHA256 algorithm.
* Crucial Condition: They must have high energy efficiency (equal to or less than 32 J/TH at 25°C).
* Cooling and Storage Stations:
* Complete structures to accommodate 200 or more servers.
* Includes control panels, exhaust systems, and liquid and dry cooling technologies.
Why is this Important?
The measure uses the ex-tariff mechanism to reduce the entry costs of cutting-edge technology without domestic production. It is an official government incentive for the expansion of mining activity in Brazil, valid until November 30, 2027.
