There are 4 minutes left of the 30-minute timed music, and I fall into a nightmare about trading...
It has no form, is not a species, nor a physical object; it resembles an invisible soul, a black hand that always pulls me into the dark abyss. Several times I thought I had disappeared. In my dreams, I am especially clear-headed, remembering the short position I took at the 3140 mark yesterday $ETH ; I also know that I am dreaming—my sleeping position, my numb left hand, and waking up are exactly the same.
In my dream, I am staring at the market late at night, reviewing the trades from the day: shorting at the 3140 mark, setting a stop loss at 3170, and reducing my position by 70% at 3007 to leave a breakeven loss. My mom, who never touches virtual currencies, asks me about the ETH contract chart, with a green line showing unrealized gains on the screen. I remind her that there is no market on Saturday and the direction is unclear, but just as I finish speaking, that black hand comes to grab me again.
Pulled into darkness time and time again, eyes open with no results, breathing rapidly, exhausted and panicked. Back to the scene, my mother's position went from a floating profit of dozens of points to the market soaring to 13000 and then plummeting to 1300, ultimately forced liquidation with a loss of 2500U; she recharged 3KU to open a position, I was just talking about position and leverage, but she casually opened a position, and the dark hand descended again.
This time I am not afraid of ghosts, I am only afraid that my mother will blow up her position again. It wasn't until I returned to my room that I saw she had opened a margin of 2000U, full position with 100x leverage to short, and ultimately still faced forced liquidation in the early morning.
Suddenly awakened, drenched in sweat, my left hand still numb. I opened my phone, ETH was still fluctuating around 3040, my position was still there, the 2980 take profit had not been triggered— it turned out it was all a dream.
This dream on Saturday may be a warning from the market: that invisible hand is the powerful force of capital, always trying to blow up our positions and eat our orders.
Do not be greedy in trading, control leverage and manage positions well. If you don't understand, you can check my previous post. Only by respecting the market can you go far.
There is no such thing as a sudden rise or fall without reason, only the inevitable loss of not setting stop-loss.
