🚨 BIG: crypto noticeably missing from Trump’s tech priorities? 🇺🇸

President Trump’s new National Security Strategy names artificial intelligence, biotech, and quantum computing as top tech priorities, yet it doesn’t call out cryptocurrency or blockchain anywhere in the text.
That silence is striking because the document stresses keeping U.S. tech leadership and mentions strengthening digital financial infrastructure — language some analysts read as a narrow, infrastructure-first nod to digital finance rather than an embrace of crypto itself.

Market watchers noticed the omission too. A few crypto analysts and outlets flagged the strategy’s silence as a fresh risk factor for digital-asset sentiment, and some short-term price moves were attributed to the uncertainty.
It’s worth remembering this is a strategy paper, not a law. The administration can still shape policy through rules, enforcement, or targeted bills — and earlier this year there were separate moves and proposals that touched parts of the crypto ecosystem, from stablecoin talks to enforcement actions. Those steps show the White House is handling digital assets in other forums even if the NSS left them out.
Bottom line: the new NSS doubles down on frontier tech like AI and quantum. Crypto didn’t make the list. That omission tells you something about priorities today, and it also leaves open a lot of questions about how the U.S. will treat digital assets going forward.
