🇫🇷🚆 Since March 17, 2025, Toulouse allows users of its public transportation (metro, bus, tram, and cable car) to pay for their tickets in cryptocurrency, such as "Bitcoin" or "Ethereum". Payments are converted into euros for Tisséo, the local operator, which is testing this new payment method. According to Mayor Jean-Luc Moudenc, Toulouse is the first European city to offer this option. The initiative, currently available via the Tisséo application on Android, cost €50,000 and could become widespread depending on observed usage.
