Polygon Deploys Madhugiri Hard Fork, Aiming for 33% Throughput Increase

Polygon - $POL has deployed a new protocol upgrade called the Madhugiri hard fork, designed to boost network throughput by 33% and reduce consensus time to just 1 second.

This upgrade supports three Ethereum Fusaka improvement proposals and lays the groundwork for expansion efforts focused on stablecoins and real-world assets (RWA).

The move is expected to strengthen Polygon’s infrastructure for high-frequency and high-reliability use cases.
