👮 The phone rings: "This is the Public Security Bureau of XX City. We need to understand your previous virtual currency transaction situation."

Even if you've been in the crypto circle for a few years, it's hard not to feel a little startled...

Don't panic! Remember: don't panic, don't speak recklessly, don't act impulsively.
Follow these 3 steps, and most situations can be handled smoothly 👇
① Normal transactions themselves are not illegal ✅

If asked whether buying and selling virtual currency is legal, you can respond rationally:

"Buying and selling virtual currency between individuals is not illegal, but you must bear responsibility for illegal gains."

Key point:
✔ You are just an ordinary investor.
✔ Transactions on legitimate platforms or between normal individuals
✔ Did not participate in illegal activities

Let the other party know that you are a 'normal user' and not a 'link in a problematic financial chain'.

② Stay calm when encountering 'funding anomalies/returns' 🧘

The police said your money may be a clue to the case, and you need to cooperate with the investigation or return it:

"I will definitely cooperate with the investigation, all records are here."

Then be prepared:

Transfer records

Chat screenshots

Platform transaction flow

Wallet records

The more complete the cooperation, the faster the handling, and the less delay.
Stubbornly resisting? It will only complicate matters!

③ There are two possible outcomes, attitude is the key ⚖️

After police assessment, there will generally be two types of handling:
✔ If determined to be 'directly involved in illegal activities', the freezing scope is large
✔ If it is just an ordinary transaction mistakenly involving problematic funds, usually only the involved card is frozen

As long as you actively cooperate:

No record left

No additional penalties

Pretending or refusing to cooperate?

The handling will escalate, causing more trouble

🔒 Three principles of safety in the cryptocurrency circle

Every payment and every transfer may hide risks:
1️⃣ Check if the transaction counterpart is reliable
2️⃣ Check if the source of funds is clear
3️⃣ Check if the wallet address is safe and stable

Stability is more important than speed, safety is always the first priority!
Protect yourself, don't let cryptocurrency trading turn into passive involvement in a case.
