Fun fact: Project teams are now using AI to kill bots
Previously, the Web3 bots we saw were mostly bare scripts: logic was transparent, easily captured by MEV traps, and they were not allowed to manage money directly
To address this issue, CARV(@CARV ) proposed the concept of sovereign AI individuals, allowing AI not only to think but also to have privacy and asset autonomy
And Cashie 2.0 is the first MVP of this vision on the Base chain
On the surface, it appears to be a Twitter lottery tool, but peeling back the layers reveals it to be a complete infrastructure for Agent payments and execution layers, better directing resources to real people rather than batches of bots
❚ How does Cashie 2.0 work?
Don't be intimidated by various protocol terms; the core logic of Cashie 2.0 actually revolves around three pillars, each addressing one of the three major challenges of AI tasks:
1/ Payment layer: x402 protocol
- Solving how to pay, this is the Alipay between Agents
- Traditional model: Bots need private key signatures to transfer funds, which is troublesome and insecure
- Cashie model: Uses the x402 (ERC-3009) protocol to achieve a Gas-free signature authorization; simply put, it means AI can issue a check, the funds are locked in custody, and will only be automatically transferred after the task is completed
- Significance: In the future, AI agents can hire each other. For example, if an AI trader makes money, it can directly call an API to pay Cashie to help with promotion, with no human intervention in the entire process
2/ Identity layer: CARV ID
- Solving who to send to, this is the bridge connecting Web2 and Web3
- Current situation: On-chain transfers recognize addresses, not people; you don't know whether this 0x address corresponds to a real user or a script
- Solution: Cashie uses CARV ID (ERC-7231) to map your X (Twitter) account behaviors (such as retweets, follows) to a blockchain address
- Effect: This not only prevents bots but also achieves precise incentives, with rewards sent directly to the wallet that followed the official Twitter and is active, rather than to a bunch of zombie accounts
3/ Execution layer: ERC-8004 Agent
- Solving who will do this, this is the worker
- Cashie is not rigid code; it is an agent built on the Coinbase AgentKit
- It has an independent smart wallet that can modularly call tools: to check if tweets have been posted, to verify funds on-chain, to execute rewards. Everything is automatic and trustless
❚ Why is this important for the Base ecosystem?
For developers and project parties, Cashie 2.0 provides a Lego-like development environment:
- Minimal operation: Project parties no longer need to collect Excel sheets for rewards; by posting a tweet, Cashie will automatically monitor, automatically draw lots, and automatically airdrop to the winning Base wallet
- Universal Token support: Although the underlying technology is complex, Cashie has created a compatibility layer, allowing you to use any ERC-20 token on Base as activity rewards, even if this token does not support complex signature protocols, as long as you provide the transfer hash
- Agent interoperability: CARV has opened up APIs, allowing any developer to build their own x402 applications or rent Cashie's capabilities to serve their own Agents
❚ Participation perspective: Dual incentives on the Base chain
Currently, Cashie 2.0 is conducting incentive activities in the Base ecosystem, providing two paths for different user groups, with a total prize pool exceeding 40,000 USDC
Path One: I am a KOL or project party
- For creators with community traffic, they can participate by creating Raffle lottery events
- Mechanism: The system ranks based on the number of participants attracted by activities
- Reward: The higher the ranking, the greater the reward; the first place can enjoy a cash reward of 5,000 USDC, which is an effective way to directly convert community activity into income
Path Two: I am an ordinary user
- For ordinary interactive users, the threshold is relatively low
- Mechanism: After binding Twitter and wallet, participate in lottery events published by various KOLs.
- Reward: The more activities you participate in, the higher your points weight, ultimately sharing a total prize pool of 14,200 USDC
- Advantage: Relying on the Base chain and x402 protocol, the entire participation process has zero Gas costs and automatic settlement

Cashie 2.0 validates the technical accumulation of CARV in AI data and identity layers
By solving the two major pain points of payment and identity, it provides a practical template for Agent Native applications on the Base chain
