The asset will launch first on Solana with more than 100 million dollars in Total Value Locked, ensuring strong liquidity from day one. wXRP enables authorized merchants to mint and redeem tokens securely while maintaining a 1:1 peg backed by native XRP held in Hex Trust’s regulated custody. Users gain access to trading, liquidity pools, swaps, and rewards programs across supported chains. wXRP will also enhance interoperability with RLUSD, boosting liquidity across DeFi protocols. The token will expand beyond Solana to Optimism, Ethereum, HyperEVM and more, using LayerZero’s Omnichain Fungible Token standard for seamless cross chain transfers. RippleX SVP Markus Infanger said the move aligns with Ripple’s work on RLUSD by offering a compliant way for institutions to manage XRP in DeFi. $LINK Set for Major Boost After DTCC Secures SEC Approval for Tokenized ETFs 🚀 Chainlink could be one of the biggest beneficiaries of the SEC’s new approval allowing the DTCC to begin tokenizing traditional securities starting in 2026. With Chainlink already collaborating with the DTCC through its CCIP technology, the upgrade positions LINK for major institutional adoption. 🔑 Key Highlights ✅ DTCC receives SEC No Action Letter to tokenize traditional assets ✅ Tokenization will cover Russell 1000 stocks, major ETFs and US Treasuries ✅ Chainlink expected to benefit due to its long standing partnership with DTCC Why it matters The Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation, the backbone of US financial markets, has secured a rare SEC No Action Letter allowing it to operate a tokenization service for the next three years. The program will launch in the second half of 2026, enabling blockchain based delivery of highly liquid assets including Russell 1000 stocks, index tracking ETFs and US Treasury bills, notes and bonds. Only DTC participants and their clients will access the service during the early phase. DTCC President Frank La Salla said tokenizing traditional securities could unlock new benefits such as improved collateral mobility, 24/7 trading access and programmable assets. This approval reflects a shift in regulatory openness to blockchain based financial services. No Action Letters are uncommon, with the last one issued only months ago for DoubleZero. The largest Web3 beneficiary is likely Chainlink. In 2024, Chainlink partnered with DTCC and major US banks on the Smart NAV Pilot, which used Chainlink’s Cross Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) to transmit NAV data across multiple blockchains after trades. This became a testbed for DTCC’s upcoming tokenization system. DTCC CTO Dan Doney recently said Chainlink’s infrastructure is helping modernize settlement systems, reinforcing expectations that CCIP will play a key role in the rollout.

The move comes at a time when Coinbase is facing tougher competition in the U.S., with spot trading volume down and rivals like Robinhood and Kraken gaining market share The shift toward decentralized trading reflects growing customer demand for self-custody and on-chain execution. By offering direct access to Solana DEX liquidity, Coinbase aims to reduce reliance on custodial trading and strengthen its position within the fast-growing Solana ecosystem. Globally, Coinbase has not provided a rollout timeline for this feature but confirmed that new regions and networks will be added over time
