Polygon co-founder discusses 'Should the token trading code be reverted from POL back to MATIC'
Deep Tide TechFlow reports that on November 26, Sandeep Nailwal, co-founder of Polygon and CEO of the Polygon Foundation, posted on social media discussing whether exchanges should revert the token trading code from POL back to MATIC.
Sandeep Nailwal stated that he constantly hears feedback from the Polygon trading community, believing that MATIC is a stronger and more familiar trading symbol, with historical depth and recognition, making it easier for people to remember.
His previous stance was that since it had already migrated to POL, it should be used because enough people are now familiar with it. However, the counterargument he received was, "People running grocery stores in the Philippines or Uber drivers in Dubai know MATIC, but now don't know where it went."
