CFTC Removes Outdated Crypto Regulations

🔸 The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has removed an outdated set of regulations governing crypto, deeming them obsolete and no longer relevant to the current market.

🔸 Acting Chair Caroline Pham stated that removing these complex rules will ease the burden on the crypto industry and encourage innovation while keeping the U.S. market safe.

🔸 By removing the old regulations, the CFTC can begin developing new, more appropriate regulations for digital assets based on recommendations from the President's working group.

🔸 The CFTC also indicated it may issue new guidance or Q&A sections and is inviting community input through a program called the Crypto Sprint.
