【YouTube launches stablecoin payment feature, creators can receive PYUSD via PayPal】

According to reports, YouTube has launched a new feature for U.S. creators to receive stablecoin payments through PayPal. PayPal's cryptocurrency head May Zabaneh confirmed that creators can now choose to receive their platform revenue share in the form of PayPal stablecoin PYUSD, a feature currently available only to U.S. users.

YouTube had previously been a client of PayPal's payment services, using it to provide gig and contractor payments for large businesses. Early in the third quarter of this year, PayPal added the ability to receive payments in PYUSD for its payment recipients, after which YouTube decided to offer this option to creators.

Zabaneh stated: "The advantage we built is that YouTube does not need to directly deal with cryptocurrency, we help eliminate that complexity." This move reflects the growing interest of large tech companies in stablecoins.
