Regarding Fan Zeng's statement,
1. My wife Xu Meng and I have recently welcomed our son, what a joy! From now on, my beloved wife, our son, and I will spend time together in our new home, cherishing each other for the rest of our lives!
2. Given my advanced age, since marrying my wife, I have entrusted most of my affairs to her. From this day forward, all public and private matters related to me will be solely handled by my wife Xu Meng; no one else has the right to interfere.
3. Recently, there have been individuals around me maliciously stirring up conflicts, disregarding my reputation, health, and legal rights. I feel helpless and heartbroken! Some have used the name of Fan Zeng's children, under the pretext of “searching for and caring for” Fan Zeng, to maliciously fabricate facts and openly defame my wife and me; others have claimed to be “Fan Zeng's children,” using “protecting” Fan Zeng as an excuse, to directly or indirectly endanger the safety of our family of three and severely disrupt our lives.
Therefore, from this day forward, I hereby sever all relations with Fan Xiaobo, Fan Zhongda, and their families, and will no longer maintain any form of contact. I will also not maintain or continue any form of cooperative relationship with the aforementioned two individuals, their families, or any companies and entities they hold shares in, manage, operate, or have any associations with. At the same time, I revoke and cancel any entrustments, authorizations, or other contractual relationships with the aforementioned two individuals and their families and any entities involved. The aforementioned individuals and entities shall not engage in any activities in my name. Any activities conducted by these individuals and entities are also unrelated to me. I do not comment on any artworks related to my name involved in their sales, exhibitions, donations, or any other activities but reserve the right to pursue legal liabilities against them.
4. From this day forward, all charitable and public welfare matters involving me will be completed solely through the Beijing Shiyu Cultural and Art Foundation; business operations will be handled by Shiyu Fan Zeng (Beijing) Cultural and Art Co., Ltd.
My wife and I will continue to contribute our humble efforts to the country's cultural and artistic and public welfare endeavors, actively fulfilling our social responsibilities.
