YouTube allows content creators in the US to receive payments in PayPal's stablecoin PYUSD as the platform integrates cryptocurrency payment options.

Instead of receiving traditional cash through banks, they can receive it in the form of PYUSD – a type of stablecoin (stable cryptocurrency) issued by PayPal. The stablecoin is "pegged" to the value of the USD (1 PYUSD ≈ 1 USD), helping to avoid price volatility like Bitcoin, and is easy to use for digital transactions.

This is a move by Big Tech (like Google) to cautiously experiment with crypto, helping creators hold money in a stable digital form that can easily be converted to real money through PayPal or Venmo.
