Kite started as a blockchain that allowed AI systems to transact and interact. At first, it focused on transaction speed, minimal lag, and robust identity authentication and verification. At that point, Kite was a tool designed to perform a function.

But over time, that attention to detail allowed it to grow as a platform. Users began to manage and govern large systems of dozens and dozens of AI agents and manage cross identitarian and cross authoritative exchanges. Kite has gone from being an execution layer to an infrastructure where systems can make large promises and manage money.

This has been all made possible on the foundational identity framework of Kite. At first, it simply ensured that agents were who they claimed to be. Now, Kite utilizes a three-layer identity system distinguishing between owners, their AI agents, and the temporary session keys that agents use. This goes beyond security. It lets the system close to fully automate supervision and value control.
