I am a short-term player, only talking about short-term.
Many people have never lost money, I mean they have not experienced clear, accurate, and calm losses. They have not noticed the similarities between each loss and have not accurately identified the correlations before losing money.
Many people are unwilling to admit their losses; after losing, they believe they can earn it back next time. The term risk means loss, and bearing risk means needing to endure losses. Many people place too much emphasis on earning and too little on losing. One should know that the money that can be earned is infinite, but the money that can be lost is limited.
One should make money from profits, not from the principal. The market is infinite. In the face of something infinite, one can only use the potentially infinite profits of the future to confront the infinite, genuinely making money from the infinite potential profits, rather than earning from limited principal. The principal is not for making money; it can be said that the principal is merely to create a so-called profit cushion.
The principal is just what gets you started; it ignites the fire, but you don't run a car with just that little bit of electricity. It's not the principal that runs the account but the market or potential profits that operate the account. The principal is actually not that important.
Does the market have what is called a holy grail?
Some people cannot conceive a viewpoint; for every order you place, there is someone equally smart, if not smarter, opening a counter position. The market moves in the direction of least resistance; there is always resistance in the market, even in a strong uptrend.
Most of the time, it is not a continuous surge of a dozen bullish candles; it is mostly a mix of bullish and bearish candles overlapping. Why do we still see bearish candles when the market is surging? No matter how good the uptrend is, there are still people shorting and selling. If I buy in and have unrealized profits, I will sell when the market is rising, hoping to take action even in extreme market conditions.
The market always has resistance; there are people going long and short at every position, and everyone's intelligence is not significantly different. There is no need to be overly confident or depressed.
