Powell Says Tariffs Are Behind the Latest Inflation Jump

Fed Chair Jerome Powell pointed to tariffs as the main reason inflation flared up again, calling it a “one-time” price shock. He added that the Fed’s job now is to make sure those higher prices don’t turn into a lasting trend.
