Silver sets a new record

Silver broke a record by exceeding 64 dollars per ounce for the first time.

Silver set a new record on Thursday after the U.S. Federal Reserve (Fed) decided to cut interest rates. Spot silver showed an increase of nearly 4% per ounce, reaching up to 64.30 dollars.

Thus, the metal gained approximately 25% on a monthly basis and over 100% since the beginning of the year.
