Trump: Hassett and Walsh become candidates for Federal Reserve Chair
U.S. President Trump said on Friday that he leans toward nominating former Federal Reserve Governor Kevin Walsh or National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett to serve as Federal Reserve Chair next year. "Yes, I do have this idea. The candidates are these two Kevins, and I think both of them are outstanding," Trump said, adding that he believes the next Federal Reserve Chair should consult with him when setting interest rate levels.
