ECB Holds Steady
Investors expect the ECB to keep rates at two percent next week. Christine Lagarde said the bank is in a good place. Focus is shifting to new economic forecasts.
Growth outlook for the euro area may be revised higher. Inflation is still sticky. This has pushed traders to price in possible hikes next year though signals remain very soft.
Some economists doubt long term tightening. They say recent growth may not last. The ECB does not want to react too fast to short term moves.
