【Aave Governance Forum Sparks Intense Controversy Over CoW Swap Fees】Golden Finance reports that Aave DAO, responsible for managing the Aave protocol, and Aave Labs, the core development company behind the Aave series of products, have differences regarding the fee distribution issue arising from the recently announced integration with the decentralized exchange aggregator CoW Swap, with the related controversy continuing to escalate. This issue was raised by an anonymous member of Aave DAO, EzR3aL. He pointed out that the fees generated from exchanging crypto assets through CoW Swap did not enter the treasury of the Aave decentralized autonomous organization, but instead flowed into a designated on-chain address. In fact, these fees ultimately went to a private address controlled by Aave Labs. EzR3aL raised multiple questions regarding this, including why the DAO's opinion was not sought before adjusting the fee flow and asserting that the ownership of these fees should belong to the DAO. EzR3aL stated, "At least $200,000 worth of Ether flows into someone's pocket every week, rather than Aave DAO." He further added that this means the DAO is potentially losing out on up to $10 million in revenue each year. Aave Labs responded that the relevant rights to the front-end components of the website and the application interface have always been legally owned by them.
