Cryptocurrency in Ukraine is not a trend, but a practical financial tool. The country is among the world leaders in cryptocurrency ownership per capita and in the level of its real usage.
Even before the war, Ukrainians actively used Bitcoin and stablecoins for savings, freelancing, and transfers. After 2022, the importance of cryptocurrency sharply increased: donations to the army and humanitarian funds went through it. In a short time, hundreds of millions of dollars were raised — quickly and without banking barriers.
The state has chosen a pragmatic course: crypto assets are legalized, recognized as objects of civil rights, and officials officially declare digital assets. Ministries and funds publicly used crypto wallets.
Bitcoin is the most popular as a means of accumulation, USDT — for payments, Ethereum — for investments. Cryptocurrency is used not only by IT specialists but also by ordinary people.
Result: in Ukraine, cryptocurrency has become part of the economy and everyday life.
