Litecoin processes on-chain trading volume equivalent to 250% of its market value, outperforming Bitcoin and Ethereum in terms of relative efficiency of use. The average transaction size on Litecoin is now $86,800, indicating an improvement in market performance and an increase in institutional adoption. Litecoin has entered the Bitwise 10 Crypto Index ETF ($BITW), listed on the NYSE Arca since December 9, 2025. More than 388,000 Litecoins (LTC) are held in transactions secured by MWEB technology, while the second-layer project LitVM, supported by the Litecoin Foundation, is in the testing phase (testnet), with plans to launch the mainnet in early 2026.
