Before drinking tea, you should warm the cup. If you visit someone's home and skip this step, it is actually considered a small flaw😄. The purpose of warming the cup is to heat it up, making the tea aroma easier to evaporate. Tasting tea is never just about "taking a sip"; there are quite a few intricacies involved.
The second process is washing the tea. After the tea leaves go through a series of processes like picking, fermentation, and storage, they must be rinsed with boiling water once before drinking. Washing the tea means that the first brew is not consumed but used to rinse the fairness cup and tea cups.
When officially drinking, generally, attention is paid to these several things: 1️⃣ Observe the color of the tea soup; 2️⃣ Smell the tea aroma, including smelling before brewing and after drinking; 3️⃣ The sensation of the tea soup in the mouth. The flavor changes with different brews; usually, the second to fifth brews are the best, and it will gradually become lighter afterward.
Now let's talk about maintaining tea utensils. I use tea utensils with open patterns, and when I drink tea, I slowly cultivate the patterns on the cups. Over time, the patterns become more and more apparent and also more beautiful.
