20000 turned into half a billion, I rely on the 'turtle strategy'

Six years ago, I only had 20000 left, the landlord urged me for rent, squatting in the stairwell gnawing on a cold steamed bun.

Back then, BTC was 3000 dollars, I gritted my teeth and bought 0.6, set an alarm and uninstalled the app, out of sight out of mind.

Three months later it rose to 6000, my colleagues laughed at me for 'selling too early', I replied: I'm just trying to survive.

Later I wrote this turtle method on a sticky note and stuck it on the fridge door, I haven't torn it off in six years:

1. Rapid rise and slow decline = washing positions, continue to sleep; explosive rise and flash crash = runaway, don’t hesitate even for a second.

2. Rapid decline and slow rebound = fishing, if your hands itch then cut; continuous gentle increase in volume at the bottom = the big player is moving, I’ll move next.

3. Reduced volume at the top, liquidate everything; explosive volume in a single day at the bottom, just watch the show.

4. For trading new coins, first check the volume, no matter how beautiful the candlestick chart, without volume it’s just a PPT.

5. Withdraw a fixed profit of 20% to fiat currency every week, only count what you have in hand.

6. During the empty position period, go to the gym, train your fingers, if you hesitate to click the mouse, then trade less.

The worst was March 12, 2020, I was liquidated on an overnight contract, still following the rules to cover the spot during the day, crying at night while holding my cat.

A year later my account had two more zeros, and the cat had become a ball. The market is specialized in punishing clever ones and rewarding slow turtles.

Now I have four houses in Shanghai, a Porsche, and the parking spot still has that sticky note on the fridge: Don't be a smart person, be a rule-following dumb turtle.

Those who can survive in the market and still make money are always the ones who dare to reach out first.
