To all the friends in the crypto world, if you've been liquidated, don't blame yourself. It's not that you're not smart; it's just that the structure of this market is inherently complex.
I believe many newcomers in the space share the same confusion: the market is clearly rising, yet I'm unable to make money and instead keep getting shaken out.
The first point is to not dwell on the previous cycle. It is a fact that one could become wealthy with a single directional trade in the last cycle, but that is basically not possible in this bull market. The current market has trends, but they come with huge fluctuations. If you're still fantasizing about a sudden turn of fortune, you will forever be stuck in the middle of the mountain.
The second point is that beginners should first learn how not to lose, and then learn how to make profits. Newcomers can easily blindly follow trends or even think that winning once by luck is their own skill. They often don't protect their principal well. A few important points are:
not over-leveraging
not going all in
not using high leverage
not impulsively buying at emotional peaks
Only by learning to control your loss ratio can you have more opportunities to make money.
The third point is to not touch coins you don't understand. The biggest pitfall in the crypto world is not the market but one's own understanding.
The fourth point is to avoid chasing trends. Following the crowd without understanding anything means you're just picking up the pieces. The most notable feature of this cycle is that the trends change too quickly. Today it's AI, tomorrow it's the SOL ecosystem, the day after tomorrow it's RWA, and a few days later it shifts to L2. By the time you see everyone talking about a certain sector, it’s actually the timing for the main players to exit.
The fifth point is that to survive in this market, you must enhance a certain skill: paying attention to overseas news. This is also something beginners are advised to focus on. One of the biggest changes in this market is that domestic news is often released late. By the time you see it, it’s already the tail end of someone else's harvest.
For example, there was a time when Ethereum had a positive news leak in advance, but domestic sources were 8 hours late. That was when the ETH Prague upgrade testing was successfully passed. Overseas developers released the news on Discord immediately, and ETH quickly surged by 5%. By the time domestic media translated, verified, and edited the news, the first wave had already surged, becoming an opportunity for others to distribute. Many people, thinking good news had arrived, rushed in, only to be hit hard by the main players, directly trapped at the day's peak, with countless people liquidated and regretfully exiting.
Currently, the market is extremely volatile, making strategy even more important. If you want to build your empire in the crypto world alongside the fishing song, do it quickly. 🚗
