SEC Closes Long-Running Investigation Into Aave
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has officially ended its nearly four-year investigation into the Aave protocol. Aave founder Stani.eth shared the update confirming that the probe has now been concluded.
Stani.eth noted that the Aave team devoted substantial time and resources to defending the protocol and safeguarding its broader ecosystem. He added that decentralized finance has faced heavy and often unfair regulatory pressure in recent years, and said the conclusion of the investigation opens the door for DeFi to move forward into a new phase where developers can focus on building the future of finance.
